1. Service Overview & Booking Process

At Flatpackmate, operated by Crottendorfer Haushaltswaren Produktions GmbH, we offer professional, bespoke furniture assembly services tailored to your requirements across Europe.

Our assembly process follows four structured steps:

  • Step 1: Submission & AssessmentSubmit your assembly request via our online quote form, providing relevant details regarding the items to be assembled.
  • Step 2: Quotation & ConfirmationOur team evaluates your request and provides a transparent, tailored price quotation.
  • Step 3: Deposit PaymentTo reserve your assembly appointment, a deposit is required upon accepting the quotation.
  • Step 4: Assembly AppointmentOnce the deposit is processed, your assembly date is formally scheduled and confirmed.

2. Assembly Timelines & Service Delivery

Assembly execution periods depend on the scope and complexity of the items provided by the customer:

  • Small Furniture / Standard Items: Assembly is typically scheduled and completed within 1 working day of the agreed date.
  • Large / Complex Furniture Units: Assembly is typically scheduled and completed within 3 to 5 working days of the agreed start date.

Note: All estimated timelines are subject to site readiness, item availability on site, and clear access to the designated assembly area.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

In accordance with applicable European consumer regulations and fair service planning:

  • Cancellation Notice: You may cancel or reschedule your assembly appointment free of charge by providing notice at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
  • Late Cancellations: If a cancellation or rescheduling request is made less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, or if access to the premises is not granted upon arrival, the deposit may be retained to cover administrative and scheduling costs incurred.
  • Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht): In accordance with EU statutory rights for distance contracts, consumers maintain a legal right of withdrawal. However, pursuant to Section 356(4) of the German Civil Code (BGB), the right of withdrawal expires if the service has been fully performed with the consumer’s explicit prior consent and acknowledgment that the right of withdrawal is lost once the service is fully executed.

4. Customer Responsibilities & Site Preparation

To ensure a smooth service delivery, the customer is responsible for ensuring that:

  • All furniture packs are delivered to the intended room prior to the assembler’s arrival.
  • The assembly area is adequately cleared, dry, and safe for work.
  • Appropriate access, electricity, and workspace lighting are made available.

5. Payment Terms

  • Deposit: Required to confirm and secure your assembly slot.
  • Final Balance: The remaining balance becomes due upon successful completion of the assembly service, payable through our supported checkout channels on the website.
